The AlphaESS SMILE-G3 3.8kWh Battery battery is designed for use with the Smile G3 system, and up to four of this battery can be used in series to give a capacity of 15.2kWh. With its modular design, the ‘plug & play’ Battery has been designed to be aesthetically pleasing when used with the Smile G3 Hybrid Inverter.
Warranty: As per the AlphaESS Warranty document “It is required that all systems have internet connection for monitoring. Systems that are not connected to the internet will have their warranty reduced to 3 years”
Battery Limits and Compatability
Up to 4 of these 3.8kWh batteries can be connected to the Smile G3 Hybrid Inverter, giving a total battery storage capacity of 15.2kWh. Accounting for the 95% DoD, this is a usable capacity of 14.44kWh which is plenty for the average UK home.

It is important to understand that this is a hybrid solar PV inverter and battery storage controller combined. This means it needs to be sized just like a regular inverter would be and, if it is being retrofitted, will replace the existing inverter.
Required Part: The AlphaESS Smile5 inverter does not come with energy meter supplied. Separate AAlpha CHINT DTSU666 Meter needs to be purchased.

Connect over 80kWh Battery Storage to a single inverter
This inverter is compatible with any Fox ESS High Voltage batteries including Energy Cube, MIRA (HV25) and HV2600 batteries. Thanks to the unique ability to connect two battery stacks, with up to 9x batteries in each stack, you can achieve a whopping 85.32kWh with a complete double-stack of batteries!
The inverter can be installed in parallel with up to 10x inverters and have a two full battery stacks connected to each inverter! Please note – Fox H3 PRO EMS is required for parallel installation.

The Fox H3 PRO 30.0kW Hybrid Inverter is a three-phase DC-AC Solar Inverter that can also store surplus energy in batteries for later use. This inverter can be used as a Hybrid Inverter or an AC Charger.
The H3 PRO boasts 3 MPPTs, a maximum charge rate of up to 30kW, can connect into two separate battery banks and allows for parallel installation up to 10x inverters. Fox H3 PRO EMS required for parallel installation.
It is important to understand that this is a hybrid solar PV inverter and battery storage controller combined. This means when you are using in conjunction with Solar, it needs to be sized just like a regular inverter would be.

Three-phase H3 Smart systems require 3-12 batteries; H3 Pro requires 4-12 batteries per stack and supports up to 2 stacks; and H3 Plus requires 4-14 batteries per stack and supports up to 3 stacks. Each stack requires its own Master battery.
