The Fox ESS H1-G2 5.0kW is a single-phase hybrid inverter for solar PV and battery storage. It replaces the conventional PV inverter in a retrofit and controls both the solar array and battery.

The Fox ESS H1-G2 5.0kW is a single-phase hybrid inverter that combines solar PV conversion and high-voltage battery control in one unit. It is intended for new solar-and-storage systems or for projects where the existing PV inverter will be replaced.
It connects to selected Fox ESS high-voltage batteries and provides app and web monitoring through FoxCloud. The enclosure is IP65 rated, and the system uses natural cooling.

Emergency power supply
The H1-G2 includes an EPS output for supported backup circuits. Backup operation requires the correct external switching, wiring and system design. The available backup power also depends on the battery configuration and connected loads.
Battery compatibility
The H1-G2 supports selected Fox ESS high-voltage battery ranges. The permitted battery model, minimum quantity and maximum stack size vary, so the current Fox ESS battery sizing guide should be checked before ordering or expanding a system.

- Fox Wi-Fi datalogging stick for FoxCloud monitoring
- One CT clamp
A second CT may be required where another generator is present. A compatible meter may be required where the distance to the incoming supply connection exceeds 30 metres.
Warranty
A 10-year manufacturer warranty is available when the inverter is registered in accordance with the current Fox ESS warranty terms.
