Works with Smart Tariffs including Octopus Energy
When combined with a Fox ESS battery, the Fox 10.0kW AC Charger has been designed to work seamlessly with smart energy tariffs. The first energy supplier to offer such a tariff is Octopus Energy, however the Fox ESS battery system works perfectly with any other energy provider.

Never Lose Power
With the Fox AC3 AC Charger you can ensure that you never go without power. An emergency power supply or ‘EPS’ port enables the AC Charger to work completely off-grid, meaning that any power you have stored in your batteries will now be used in the event of a power cut. Requires separate EPS changeover switch.

The Emlite ECA2 bi-directional generation meter is required for PV installations with hybrid battery storage and to replace existing old meters if DC storage is retrofitted.
For example, if you are replacing a standard SolaX X1 Boost Solar Inverter for a SolaX X1 Hybrid Inverter for battery storage, you must also replace the generation meter for one of these bi-directional meters.
The Emlite ECA2 bi-directional generation meter displays three different readings: Import, Export and Net (import deducted from Export.)
OFGEM guidance says that any DC coupled battery system on a FiT installation which has the ability to charge from the AC (regardless of whether it is set up or not) must have a bi-directional meter installed in order to claim the FiT.

The new Pylontech US2000C 2.4kWh battery from Pylon now boasts 95% DoD and a 10 year warranty. The batteries are modular so banks can be built up in units of 2.4kWh and they are simply daisy chained together.
