Who is Eurener?

Eurener is a Spanish manufacturer of solar panel modules; they use a highly developed fabrication process, including camera verification of welding, to ensure a high quality and consistency of the panels they produce.

What is an N-Type Solar Panel?

All standard silicon solar panels are composed of silicon wafers mixed with various chemicals to generate power production. An N-Type solar cell uses Phosphorus, whereas a P-Type cell uses Boron.

Traditionally, manufacturers have made solar panels with P-Type cells. However, introducing boron to oxygen can cause the solar cell to lose purity, negatively impacting its efficiency.

Boron is also prone to degradation from light which is known as Light-Induced Degradation (LID). In contrast, Phosphorus isn’t prone to these issues, hence many manufacturers are switching to N-Type for residential solar modules.

Half Cell Technology

The Eurener 440Wp N-Type All Black solar panels feature half-cut technology which reduces thermal losses by reducing the cell size and increasing the number of cells per module. This allows a higher module power output to be obtained than with a conventional module.

IBC Technology

IBC, or Interdigitated Back Contact, has been incorporated by Eurener by removing the busbars from the front side of the panel, reducing the effect of shadows on the solar cells.
