This clip is designed to fit on the short side of panels with a Box frame design. For the long sides of the panels the standard clips are compatible.
Designed for use with the BirdBlocker BB125 or BB200 Pest Protection kits.

Why do solar panels need shielding from birds?
The yield of the solar panels is reduced when the ventilation underneath is obstructed by branches and nesting material; this is because increased harms the efficiency.
Nesting birds can also deposit their droppings and dirt/debris on the surface of the panels. In some cases, they can interfere with system cabling, as well as cause blockages in guttering and the roof’s drainage system.
It also protects the birds, stopping them getting caught in the wiring amongst other things.
Can I retro-fit this kit to an existing solar array?
Yes! However, please note that BirdBlocker BB125 / BB200 works best as a preventive measure to prevent nuisance from birds. DO NOT install the BirdBlocker during the breeding period. The birds will do their utmost to get under the solar panels because of their nesting urge. In several countries it is punishable by law to disturb nests during this breeding period.
