With its modular design, the ‘plug & play’ AlphaESS 5.7kWh Parallel Battery has been designed to be aesthetically pleasing when used with Smile5 Hybrid Inverter.
Warranty: As per the AlphaESS Warranty document “It is required that all systems have internet connection for monitoring. Systems that are not connected to the internet will have their warranty reduced to 3 years”
Battery Limits and Compatability
Up to 6 of these 5.7kWh batteries can be connected to the Smile5 Hybrid Inverter, giving a total battery storage capacity of 34.2kWh. Accounting for the 96% DoD, this is a usable capacity of 32.83kWh.

The AlphaESS Smile5 5.0kW Hybrid Inverter / AC Charger is a single-phase DC-AC Solar Inverter. It can be used for DC-coupling, AC-coupling and hybrid-coupling connection. It has multiple battery options including 2.9kWh, 5.7kWh, 10.1kWh and 13.3kWh battery modules.
It is important to understand that this is a hybrid solar PV inverter and battery storage controller combined. This means it needs to be sized just like a regular inverter would be and, if it is being retrofitted, will replace the existing inverter.
Required Part: The AlphaESS Smile5 inverter does not come with energy meter supplied. Separate Acrel part needs to be purchased. CLICK HERE
