The Tigo Access Point (TAP) is Tigo’s latest wireless antenna, allowing wireless communication between the Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) and the TS4 optimisers.
Note: Wireless communication between TS4 Optimisers and TAP and wired RS485 connection between TAP and CCA.
Tigo TAP utilises ‘mesh’ technology which allows each Tigo TS4 optimiser to act as a repeater, extending the range of TAP. The signal and data can hop from TS4 to TS4 along many different paths. As long as the TS4 optimisers are not more than 10m from each other, the TAP total range including ‘hops’ is 35m.
Features of the Tigo Access Point (TAP):
- Communicate directly with up to 300 TS4 units
- Use the Tigo SMART App on a mobile device for quick start-up
- Provide grid status to TS4 MLPE for rapid shutdown UL compliance
- Easy installation on the module frame without tools
- Wireless mesh communication
- Dimensions – 126.2mm x 130.0mm x 26.8mm (with bracket)
- Weight – 227g
- Input Voltage: 5VDC – 25VDC
- Power Consumption: 0.5W average, 1W peak

The Tigo Cloud Connect Advanced Kit (CCA) enables valuable insight to collected and transmitted data for real-time analysis. The CCA is part of Tigo’s SMART communication platform which is supported by all major inverter and module manufacturers worldwide.
This kit includes a Tigo Access Point (TAP) module which allows wireless communication between the Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) and the TS4 optimisers.

The Tigo TS4-A-O Optimiser is the advanced add-on/retrofit optimisation solution that brings smart module functionality to standard PV modules for improved reliability.
Improve energy efficiency of your solar array by upgrading underperforming PV modules or adding smart features to new installations. The TS4-A-O features UHD-Core technology supports PV modules up to 700W and 15A.
This optimiser works with any solar panel or solar inverter offering excellent flexibility. In addition, you can use as few as one optimiser on a system – ideal if you have a small number of shaded panels or a few panels on another orientation.
You only need one Tigo TS4-A-O optimiser per panel that is shaded and they can be mixed with non-optimised solar panels in the same system.
